Everything is going pretty well today. We didn't have a baptism, but that's for the best. We just felt like the ward needed to get to know her a bit better and it just didn't seem like the right weekend for it. So it's all planned and scheduled for this Saturday instead! My companion was sick most of the week so we didn't get as much accomplished as we wanted. We finally went to the urgent care yesterday and they gave him some amoxiclav for his viral infection. So, hopefully that will get it all taken care of. He still is kind of sick though. Well I'm honestly really excited about this weekend.

Dear Family!
This week was not at all what I was expecting. So first off we decided one day, during the middle of our studies, to go get a donut run. As we were walking into walmart we said hi to the security guy standing outside and then got our donuts. As we were walking out of walmart the security guard stopped me and asked who I was. We then got into a conversation and when he realized we were "Mormons" he said he has been studying faiths for the past 10 years looking for truth and wants to learn about ours. We found out he doesn't live in our area so we sent his info to the Laplace Elders. They taught him and his son on Friday and they said he was Golden! haha now being "Golden" is often more of a curse than a blessing because something generally goes drastically wrong, but I hope it doesn't in this case. Plus Elder Jones said, as we were walking to walmart, that we were going to find a family that day. After that the week went pretty good. We had a night with the Elders quorum from our Ward and the Jefferson ward playing some dodgeball. It was awesome to be back to the building I went to in Kenner. I got to see a lot of familiar faces and just see how things were going. We also got to go to the temple which was great and I was able to do the Ordinance for one of my ancestors which was a really good experience. After our session (which got over at about 9 PM) we headed out of the temple to the members car that we were told were giving us a ride home. They showed up in a sedan that only seated five. Needless to say we didn't get home to New Orleans that night. We stayed the night with the Assistants and the office Elders were able to give us a ride home the next morning. After getting back we decided to treat ourselves to some crawfish and we bought about 5 lbs. It wasn't enough for the four of us so this p-day we are going to all buy some for our last p-day this transfer. Also our investigator Drika is still on track to be baptized this week, so our focus has been on that! Well I love and miss you all and hope you are seeing miracles like I am!

Dear Family
It's been a pretty good day. the weather has finally given us a break so that is nice. It probably won't last long so we are going to have to take advantage of it. One day last week there was golf ball sized hail and a water spout over the lake. The good news is that we got a baptismal date set with one of our investigators. She is going to be baptized on the second of May so that will be great. She is progressing and super ready for it. Her name is Shaundrika Jones she is pretty funny. I'll send you some pictures next week. We are all getting along pretty good we have had a ton of different missionaries around us this week so that has been fun. Last night the assistants stayed the night at our apartment so it was good to see Elder White for a little bit. I talked to my last companion Elder Condie last night and it made me really miss Slaughter. I didn't realize how much I enjoyed serving the people there and just being able to work hard with him. It was a really good time. But me and Elder Jones are doing great things here. Garrett did the initiatory work for Michael Seltzer. Ill be doing the endowment on Friday April 24. Well that's mostly it for this week!

Hey Mom,
Elder Jean Louis with the Wyoming shirt is Elder Madsens companion and we all live in the same apartment. He is from Haiti and his Mom has been in Wyoming for 17 years. I don't know for sure if it's his real mom or step mom. After he was in Haiti he lived in Florida for a few years. If I stay here we already have a place we are going and If I get transferred I will be able to find somewhere to go. It's been a good week and its going to be super rainy for this whole week so I don't know what all we are going to be able to do. We get to go to the temple next week so I'm going to have Garrett do the initiatory for Matthew Smith and then I can do the endowment. Well that's really it for this week.
